Stoker 1st Class Joseph Norman Charles Benjamin (P/KX 102975) was the eldest son of Joseph Richard Benjamin, a motor mechanic, and Ivy Emily Benjamin (née Kirk). He was born on December 13th, 1917 in Hackney, London, and before enlisting, he was employed as a boot and shoe salesman.
He married Laura Hannah Taylor in 1940.
