Able Seaman Eustace Reginald Berry (P/JX 170047) was born on 9th February, 1919, in Littlehampton, Sussex. He was the son of Victor Berry, a motor vehicle mechanic, and his wife Gladys (née Cross).
Eustace Berry’s mother died in 1939 and his father was one of twenty eight people killed in an air raid on a Royal Naval Air Service aerodrome in 1940.
